Before the manor of Wakefield belonged to Edward the Confessor and it passed to William the Conqueror after the Battle of Hastings.
The settlement was recorded as Wachfeld in the Domesday Book of , and covered a much greater area than present day Wakefield, much of which was described as “waste”. My partner and I have a 2 year old and only go out very occasionally and we like it to be special! I can not recommend this place enough! The service, the food, the quality and the surroundings and the value! I was shocked at how good value the meal was especially as the quality is so high! First time visiting and our new favourite restaurant. Food was excellent, service was excellent, cocktails were excellent Lovely friendly atmosphere and all at an incredibly reasonable price.
Thanks to Andy and all the staff for a lovely evening. Nick and Mel x. It didn’t fill me, I could have eaten something else. Absolutely love Damelio.
